† BotServ †

BotServ is a service provided by GraveRPG, as well as on other major networks. It's purpose is simple as well are it's commands. It's made available to users for the purpose of improving the overall environment on GraveRPG. It will provide a custom Bot to your channel, as well as permit you to change settings for your channel.

† Instructions †

BotServ is a service supplied to all registered channels that will place an interactive Bot into your room. Please note that there may only be ONE BotServ Bot assigned per channel.



† BotServ will automatically assign channel owners the Bot “Reaper” upon registration of the channel. However, if you wish to change this Bot simply type:

† Syntax: /msg BotServ ASSIGN #YourRoom



To see a list of available Bots please type /msg BotServ BOTLIST. The current names available (as of December 2007) are: Angel, Corpse, Demon, Dragon, GateKeeper, Guardian, Hedwig, Immortal, Knight, Morticia, Mutant, Odin, Poison, Reaper, Vampyre, Wraith, and Zombie.


Commands can go through BotServ itself. The following are examples of commands that are available. At any time you may use the HELP function (by typing /msg BotServ HELP) in order to learn more about them.

‡ BOTLIST ~ This will list the most current names available for Bots.
‡ ASSIGN ~ This physically assigns a Bot to your channel.
‡ ACT ~ This will make the Bot do the equivalent of a "/me" command.
‡ INFO ~ This allows you to see BotServ information about a channel or a Bot.
‡ SAY ~ This will make the Bot say the indicated text on the given channel.
‡ UNASSIGN ~ This will unassign a Bot from the channel.



‡ SET ~ This will configure the Bot’s options.


† Syntax: /msg BotServ SET #YourRoom Option ON/OFF
† IE: /msg BotServ SET #YourRoom DONTKICKOPS ON



Options available with SET:

‡ DONTKICKOPS: This is to protect ops against Bot kicks.
‡ DONTKICKVOICES: This is to protect voiced users against Bot kicks.
‡ GREET: This will enable greet messages. This command is set by default.
‡ FANTASY: This will enable fantasy commands (ie: !op). This command is set by default.
‡ SYMBIOSIS: This will allow the Bot to act as a real Bot. This command is set by default.



‡ KICK ~ This will configure the automatic kickers.


† Syntax: /msg BotServ KICK #YourRoom Option ON/OFF
† IE: /msg BotServ KICK #YourRoom COLORS ON



Options available with KICK:

‡ BOLDS: This will set the Bot to kick users who use Bold.
‡ BADWORDS: This will set the Bot to kick users who use ‘bad words’.
‡ CAPS: This will set the Bot to kick users who use CAPS.
‡ COLORS: This will set the Bot to kick users who use colors.
‡ FLOOD: This will set the Bot to kick users who are flooding the channel.
‡ REPEAT: This will set the Bot to kick users who repeat themselves.
‡ REVERSES: This will set the Bot to kick users who use reverses.
‡ UNDERLINES: This will sets the Bot to kick users who use underlines.



† BotServ also allows fantasy commands in every channel that a Bot has been placed in. You can type the following commands in the channel to request the specific action of the bot.


!op - !op Nick, or simply !op to give ops(+o or @ symbol) to specified user.
!deop - !deop Nick, or simply !op to remove ops(-o) from specified user.
!protect - !protect Nick, or simply !protect to give channel admin status(+a).
!deprotect - !deprotect Nick, or simply !deprotect to remove channel admin status(-a)
!halfop - !halfop Nick, or simply !halfop to give halfops(+h or % symbol) to specified user.
!dehalfop - !dehalfop Nick, or simply !dehalfop to remove halfops(-h) from specified user.
!voice - !voice Nick, or simply !voice to add voice(+v or + symbol) to specified user.
!devoice - !devoice Nick, or simply !voice to remove voice(-v) from specified user.
!ban NiCkNaMe - Sets mode +b(ban) on users nickname. (Can be used to set specific host bans as well. [See modes page])
!kick NiCkNaMe - Will kick specified user from channel.
!kb NiCkNaMe - Will kick specified user from channel, and sets mode +b(ban) on users nickname. (Can be used to set specific host bans as well. [See modes page])

Again, if at any time you need help you may use the HELP function (by typing /msg BotServ HELP) in order to learn more about the commands. To learn more about a specific command please use /msg BotServ HELP . Finally, if you have any further questions please feel free to ask an Administrator.
